Long weekend

Well... This one is a really long weekend. We got a holiday starting Thursday through Sunday of course. That makes it 4 days. I so much wanted to plan something for this. But all went down the drain. One good thing thought. Kripsa came for a week. It was a good surprise. Was really nice to see her when I wasn't expecting to.

I was contemplating on going out, but when I look at my laptop's hard drive and pile of books in front of me, I think I can pretty much make it a chilling weekend at home (well, not chilling literally with this kind of temperature) Here is the stuff on my list:

To read:
- RD Feb issue (read Jan and March issue and passed it on to Niki)
- India Today 4 issues of March
- Life of Pi (have been reading it for a real long time now. Should have finished it long time back)
- Catch 22 (have been described as best book of all times by maldi and KV. I am looking out for a good time to start it.
- Dracula (Picked up from sale at crossword. Haven't touched yet)
- Vedanta Treatise (Spiritual stuff recommended by Niki. Not sure if I am too keen. Yet to collect it from him)
- Scarlet Pimpernal (Recommended by Maldi. He says he will be giving it to me soon)

To watch:
- 8 Simple Rules season 3
- Scrubs season 4,5,6. (half of season 7 is ready for me :D)
- Chuck (not sure if I would like it)
- Frasier (season 1,7,8,9. 2 through 6 and 10,11 are ready for me)
- Heroes season 1,2 (I am dying to start this)
- 10 odd movies.

Thats like a lot of stuff to do. Its not such a bad weekend after all.

The Worst Nightmare

Ross: So…
Ross: Morning.
Rachel: You too. Last night was just wonderful.
Ross: It really was.
Rachel: I woke up today with the biggest smile on my face.
Ross: I know, me too. It was… You know, it was like one of those things you think is never gonna happen, and then it does, and it’s everything you want it to be.
Rachel: Uh-huh. I know. It was just, it was just the perfect way to say goodbye.

Confusion!

That was a good one.

We... as in the whole family... were sitting on the stairs of the old house. It is really intriguing factor since aai n bapu dont seem to be eager on seeing out face. Anna was saying no matter what he will support me, after all, he really cares.

Its night. I am sleeping on the couch in the big hall. I see Amit Ratnaparakhi letting something loose just near the other door's stares. And I see Fred and George giggling behind him. This was definitely something from Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes. Besides, I always knew Amit Ratnaparakhi had some evil instincts.

That something was bees... stinging honey bees. (I am not sure if this part was inspired from the Bee Movie or the part in Scary Movie where some guy's head gets stuck in a honey comb). I was wondering why those bees haven't come to me yet. I was all geared to get up and run. Apparently, they had started attacking the basements of all the houses. The people upstairs had come running down. I was following the mob. All of a sudden there was cattle, elephants coming from opposite side. There was a sudden commotion. I could feel the legs of of all these animals around me.

I felt a sudden jerk and before I could realize, I was on top of a horse. His name was Jitters. Hermione had sent it for me. She had sent a message that I just have to see some video and read a few notes and I will be done for the day.

Suddenly, I heard clocks playing in the background. It was my alarm ringing. Finally there was some cold in the air in mumbai. But I was sweating. I had to get up fast, had to go to the gym.

Om Shanti Om

Oh I so much loved the movie... Loved everything including the curvy font in which the title of the film is written, the costumes, the songs. Shah Rukh Khan is still undisputed king of bollywood. His 6 packs abs... simply killing! Deepika Padukone is cute. And man... Farah Khan knows how to show off her power in film industry.

All in all... a hindi masala movie always makes moi happy.

Life goes on...

Just a forward, but says a lot...

Life is too short
Grudges are a waste of perfect happiness
Laugh when you can
Apologize when you should
And let go what you can't change
Love deeply and forgive quickly
Take chances, give everything
And have no regrets
Life is too short to be unhappy
You have to take the good with the bad
Smile when you're sad
Love what you've got
And always remember what you had
Always forgive but never forget
Learn from your mistakes
But never regret
People change and things go wrong
But always remember
Life goes on!!!

Required - Garbage Collection

Its gonna be diwali on 10th of November. How the hell am I going to manage.
The building work is surely not gonna be finished before December. The case is in court. These guys are so screwed.
The poor guy really does not have money. What is he gonna do.
I am not sure if metadata is also replicated over the E3 instances. Need a clarification from Latch.
There is a fucking memory leak somewhere. Got to spot that.
I hope I will set up the security of the router properly. I don't want someone else using up my connection.
I need a decent bookmark. I have been folding the pages/using piece of paper or whatever I get in hand for a long time now.
Deepanshu is leaving next week. Got to meet him before he goes.
Its been a little morose in office. I am not in touch with the office guys. Not good.
Have to take the teddy and the water bottle to office tomorrow.
I have been skipping gym lately. Shouldn't be doing that. Not good again.
Will set a reminder for my vacation.
Shit... the PE thingy is coming up. I don't like all the fart.
Some BUs are moving for sure. I wonder which ones.
I want my mp3 player to get well soon. Its been ill for so long.
Same with the phone too. But that can wait.
iFlow is officially the winner now. I am happy and I can show it. Well done team!
What do I give him for birthday. I haven't even started thinking about it.

Sigh....

Very scary. Was just holding on. Thank god nothing went terribly wrong. Dunno why I am such a chicken.
I guess sometimes the ground can shift beneath your feet. Sometimes your footing slips - you stumble. And then, you grab what's closest to you and hold on... as tight as you can... Feeling like never letting it go...

Thanks for being there...

Hollow

Sometimes you lie awake in the night staring at the ceiling and ponder over questions that you have stopped asking yourself long time back. Questions like what is it like being dead, what happens after death, what is beyond the space, what is infinite?

Have you ever wondered, if there was no life in this world, in this universe. Just a milky way, just a solar system, planets revolving around each other for no particular reason and thats about it!

Imagine if there was no evolution. What would it be like then.
No humans, no animals, no emotions, no feelings, no love, no passion, no delight, no hatred, no disdain, no secrets, no desires, no anxiety, no fear, no atheism, no agnosticism, no smiles, no sorrows, no fulfillments, no void, no riches, no poverty, no confidence, no misery, no adventures, no failures, no cynicism, no optimism, no despair, no miracle, no trust, no treachery, no fame, no glory.... Nothing.

Cant imagine a world without these. Things wouldn't have been quite the same... Isn't it?

A thought

Just wondering... How do people come up with something to write every single day??? And even if they write everyday, they don't sound monotonous, worked up. Its nothing but refreshing to read their thoughts every single day.

What can I say, people are just gifted!
